Neocleus was founded in 2006 by Ariel Gorfung and Etay Bogner. Both founders have proven track records of identifying and successfully meeting emerging market requirements with innovative solutions. They share the belief that changing the way people conduct business represents a rare challenge calling for the talents of an exceptional team of engineers and market builders. The group they have assembled continues to grow in both Israel and the United States.
Mr. Ariel Gorfung
Co-Founder, President & Chief Executive Officer, is responsible for executing the company’s strategic vision. Ariel brings over 18 years of successful entrepreneurship and technology industry leadership experience to the role, having most recently served as the Chief Executive Officer of Intuwave Ltd., a UK based company providing connectivity middleware to the Symbian mobile operating system. Prior to Intuwave, Ariel co-founded e-Sponsor (Acquired by Intuwave Ltd. Oct, 2000), held executive positions at Magic Software Enterprises (Nasdaq; MGIC) and established Optibase Inc. (Nasdaq:OBAS).
Mr. Etay Bogner
Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer, drives the company’s product vision and technical direction. As a networking and security industry veteran, Etay brings extensive expertise and market understanding to his role at Neocleus. This is Etay’s second entrepreneurial venture. Check Point Software Technologies acquired a majority share in Etay’s first company, SofaWare Technologies LTd. After founding the company, Etay served as managing director of SofaWare Technologies. In addition, Etay has held technical positions at BackWeb and other Internet, networking and security companies.
Mr. Matthew Lee
Vice President, Sales, brings over 20 years of experience in the high-tech arena to his efforts to drive Neocleus’ sales and partnership initiatives. He has gained a significant expertise in the financial services industry over his career and has also cultivated experience working with fast-growth companies such as Sapient. Prior to joining Neocleus, Matt held several leadership positions within the high-tech and financial services arenas that included positions with DEC/Compaq, Sybase, Amdahl and Unisys.
Ms. Joan Spindel
Vice President, Marketing, brings more than 20 years of high-tech marketing experience to Neocleus. She specializes in developing lasting strategic assets through high-impact marketing initiatives, having worked with a variety of entrepreneurial and large companies to expand their businesses and market reach. Joan has held executive management positions and provided strategic marketing counsel to a diverse portfolio of companies including Lotus, IBM, Lucent, dynamicsoft, Unisys, Experian, and other innovative ventures.
Mr. Yoav Weiss
Chief Security Architect, has extensive capabilities in the design and architecture of secure real-time distributed systems as well as practical security experience. Prior to joining Neocleus, Yoav was with Discretix Technologies where he served as Director of New Technologies and was responsible for inventing and patenting the next generation of the company's products. Before joining Discretix, Yoav was founder and CTO of Identisoft, which was acquired by First-Access. Following the acquisition, Yoav served as Chief Scientist for First-Access. Previously, Yoav was a team leader at Entercept, now part of McAfee, and a security expert and core developer at Check Point. Yoav also consulted to several venture capitals, government agencies and leading security firms. Yoav started his career in an elite intelligence unit in Israel Defense Forces.
Mr. Yair Tor
Vice President, Research & Development, brings extensive expertise in developing and commercializing innovative security technologies. He previously founded a company called BeeFence and has held key development positions in other entrepreneurial ventures including Skybox Security and Tioga. While at Tioga, Yair defined, managed and evolved the Information Systems infrastructure to support a rapidly growing organization as it evolved from its startup phase to become a well established company. His work on intrusion prevention at BeeFence was ultimately patented.
