An Open and Extensible Platform Changes How Endpoints Operate
Given that only one hypervisor can be installed per device, it is in the best interest of the industry to collaborate and accelerate the delivery of a single uniform endpoint hypervisor that all types of organizations can leverage. To help accelerate the availability of such a hypervisor, we are actively engaged in the open source effort.
The Desktop Hypervisor Framework:
Accelerate the Delivery of High Performance Endpoint Solutions
Our open source effort involves defining the framework for a desktop hypervisor design to enable many types of endpoint virtualization use cases. The framework specifies compatibility, usability, performance and scalability requirements whereby system resources can be allocated to separate virtual environments in such a way that overall application performance is not impacted. Neocleus' open source contributions enable other software developers to focus on building high performance applications without worrying about the underlying architecture.
Desktop Hypervisor Framework Objectives:
- Facilitate cross-industry support through a uniform hypervisor framework. The framework presents an efficient way for multiple vendors to participate.
- Ensure the design and implementation are open for inspection and validation. Actively cooperate with hypervisor vendors and developers.
- Outline usability requirements that ensure the user experience is unhindered for regular operations and simple for others.
- Depict the need to enforce some logic at the hypervisor level.
- Describe how the hypervisor must work in tandem with other technologies.
